• Operate the MCP-601 from the remote IR Controller. Use the MENU button to access the

on-screen displays. Please refer to the sections on IR Controller and VIDEO OUTPUT

ON-SCREEN DISPLAYS in this manual.

• For scan conversion or down stream keying application with external REF input as the

genlock source, the PowerUp setting can be set as follows: With the IR controller, select

MENU, INPUT VIDEO, REF, then with the previous button on the IR controller, select

MEMORY on screen, PowerUp, SAVE.

• For PAL applications and for the unit automatically setup for PAL power up,

Change all default Memories location (including PowerUp) to 625/PAL standard by

pressing MENU to access the on-screen display, then Memories, All, Defaults for PAL.

This will change the Video Output Standard to 625/PAL for all factory default memory

locations (see Table 5-1, Factory Preset Default Memories).

NOTE 1: It is recommended that the display resolution of the PC be set to 800 X 600,

60 Hz frame rate and 16-bit or 24-bit color during the initial set up.

NOTE 2: For VGA resolution of 720 x 480 (NTSC) or 720 X 576 (PAL), refer to the

section on Setting Up VGA Input.
